In Tough Times Text
For people at risk of suicide, one of the MOST important things is staying connected to people who care about them. But knowing what to say to someone you’re worried about can be really fucking hard, especially if they’re suicidal. That’s where ITTT comes in. They work with people who have previously been suicidal to create messages that are compassionate, empathetic and understanding that you can send to people you’re worried about.
Staying in touch with friends at risk is now easier than ever.
Big Feels Club
Words cannot express how valuable ‘Big Feels Club’ is for people who aren’t neurotypical. A passion project from Honour Eastly and Graham Panther, Big Feels Club provides a variety of different supports for people who struggle with big feelings. They’ve got a brilliant e-newsletter, a podcast, a website and probably more in the pipeline!
Sexual Health and Intimacy Psychological Services (SHIPS)
Do you need an IRL therapist? Someone who isn’t going to judge you for being in a non-monogamous relationship, someone who gets queer identities, someone who feels like they’re actually on your wavelength…well if you’re in Melbourne you should definitely consider SHIPS. They’re awesome, inclusive and welcoming AF!
myDNA
There are a LOT of anti-depressant medications out there. Lots of them take a while to properly kick in, and lots of them have weird and unwanted side effects - so the last thing you want to do is fuck around figuring out which ones work for you and which ones don’t. Good news - you don’t have to. myDNA provides a cheek swab kit that comes in the mail and will provide you with a report on what anti-depressant drugs your body can process and which ones it can’t. Let them save your time and your sanity!
